Corrine Rae GoodCamarillo, CACorrine Good passed away peacefully at her home in Camarillo, California on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Corrine was born on November 4, 1926 in Uniontown, Washington to Barthol and Helen Schumacher. She was the third child in a close-knit family of four boys and three girls. After graduating from Uniontown High School she attended Kinman Business School in Spokane, Washington where she learned secretarial skills that would help her work her way through college, earning a degree in English with a minor in psychology at the University of Idaho in Moscow. Corrine was an enthusiastic member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Her beauty and outgoing personality caught the eye of a handsome, young man living across the street in the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. And the rest is history. Dwayne (Dewey) Good and Corrine Schumacher were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moscow, Idaho on September 13, 1951. The first of their five children, Debbie, was born in Moscow a year later. After undergraduate school, Corrine and Dewey moved to St. Louis, Missouri where Dewey graduated from Washington University School of Dentistry in 1957. Corrine helped support the family working as a substitute teacher while their family grew by two more daughters. Barbara was born in 1953 and Patti in 1956. Following dental school, Corrine and Dewey (an ROTC commissioned Air Force Captain) were stationed for two years at the Oxnard Air Force Base in Camarillo where their first son, Jeff, was born in 1959. Soon after, they returned to live in the northwest but found their way back to Camarillo, their much-loved home since 1963. In 1967 their fifth child, Craig, was born. A devoted and busy mother of five, Corrine adored attending her kids' countless sports events, piano recitals and school activities. Additionally, she enjoyed an active life in many civic, charitable and social organizations including Las Patronas, Children's Home Society, Meadowlark, Right to Life, Las Posas Country Club and St. Mary Magdalen Parish, where her children's school attendance spanned almost 20 years. Corrine will be remembered by friends and family for her incredibly positive nature, great sense of humor, strong faith, love and devotion to family ? and being an exceptional bridge player, talented ceramic painter, seamstress and master of the crossword puzzle and Sudoku. Corrine is survived by Dewey, her husband of 65 years; five children, Debbie, Barbara, Patti, Jeff and Craig; six grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Alison, Steven, Cassidy and James; and five great-grandchildren, Jayden, Brinlee, Tyce, Beckett and Evangeline.
