It is in our weakness that God makes us strong. So we will always have challenges because it is in those times God wants us to lean on him for strength.
Coy “Chipper” Evans, age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday October 12, 2018 at Concourse Village Retirement Center. He was born August 26, 1943 to Coy Evans Sr and Arie Evans in Lumberton NC.
He worked at numerous different jobs not willing to stagnate his talents. He displayed a wonderful knack for solving problems. Coy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, snacking, and spending time with his nephews and nieces. Coy had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, sometimes a very humorous way.
He is survived by his children Tanya, Renee, Coyshea, Thomasina, Terry and Treyvius. Also his loving sister Delores Harper and a host of nieces and nephews who cared dearly for him. Preceded Coy was his parents Coy Evans(father), Arie Evans(mother) and Hattie Evans(second mother). Also his siblings Kay Whitted(sister), Adelaide Powell(sister), Clarence Evans(brother) and Robert Evans(brother).
