Curtis, Lee McKelvin, Jr. (fondly known as Junior), was born on January 11, 1967, in Blountstown, Florida, to his late parents, Curtis Lee, Sr. and Doreatha McKelvin. Junior attended public schools in Orange, NJ where he spent most of his youth before moving to Mercer County, NJ. Junior was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan! He absolutely loved music of all kinds, especially oldie but goodies and cooking was his passion. He wasted no time sending text messages of videos/pictures of his finish products. In addition, he was a “Jack of all trades” and was knowledgeable of things such as painting, hanging drywall, fixing garage doors, cars, installing fences, performing construction and masonry, just to name a few. He took pride in his work. But more importantly, he loved his family and while attending cookouts, parties and special gatherings, Junior had fun sitting around playing cards, talking with family/friends, eating and entertaining his nieces and nephews. However, before running into some health issues, Junior worked for Breezy Transportation in Ewing, NJ whereas on a daily basis, he transported patients to and from doctor appointments. Curtis Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis L. McKelvin, Sr. and Doreatha McKelvin. The fond and precious memories Curtis leaves with us will be cherished by his loving and beautiful daughters, Nicole Crawley of Augusta, Ga.; Yohanna McKelvin of Hamilton, NJ; his Fiancé, Rebecca Hurtado of Hamilton, NJ; 1 sister, Vilicia McKelvin of Clinton, Maryland; 3 brothers, Stanley McKelvin of North Brunswick, NJ; Dexter McKelvin (Shemaine) of Avenel, NJ; Maurice McKelvin (Christina) of Stewartsville, NJ; 1 uncle, Ellis Coleman Barnes of Panama City, FL; 3 aunts, Patsy Johnson (Howard) of Madison FL, Doris McGee (Albert) of Madison FL, Annie Dell Session of Blountstown, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family.
