FAIRBORN — Curtis Franklin Conley age 67 of Fairborn died on June 5, 2014 at The Hospice of Dayton. Curtis was born on July 20, 1946 to Renzoe & Minnie Christine (Bowling) Conley in Crockett Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Shane Conley, and brother Bert David Conley. Curtis is survived by a son Calvin (Leslie) Conley of Fairborn, 2 sisters Judy Kraker and Lola (Bruce) Shuman, 2 brothers Timothy, and Dennie (Jackie) Conley, 3 grandchildren Seth, Madyson, Ryelee, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Curtis was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Curtis proudly served his country in the Navy performing 3 tours in Vietnam. Curtis was proud to have been a police officer, as well as a member of the VFW post 8312, and the American Legion post 526 in Fairborn. Friends may call on the Burcham Jennings Home on June 12, 2014 where a visitation will be held from 6PM-8PM at Burcham Jennings Funeral Home 119 E. Main St. Fairborn Ohio 45324. Where a Funeral service will be held on Friday June 13, 2014 at 10AM with James Wendell Conley & Art Gilliam Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Byron Cemetery. Following the graveside service there will be a pot luck carry in feast at Life Hope Church Hall at 164 Vine St. Fairbron Ohio 45324. The family would like to acknowledge his extended family & friends. Those he served with in the military as well as in the police force.
