Curtis Leon Lambert, Sr.Age: 80 • MOUNT SOLON, VACurtis Leon Lambert, Sr., 80, of Mount Solon, passed away Friday, October 13,2017 at his home. He was born on April 15, 1937, in Rockingham County, a son of the late Martin Luther and Betsy Mae (Snyder) Lambert. Curtis was a dairy farmer and had been a heavy equipment operator  He was devoted to his work and enjoyed hunting. He was united in marriage to Mabel Etta (Dorman) Lambert, who preceded him in death on December 28, 2013, after 57 years of marriage. Surviving are five children, Sharon Gray and husband Mike, of Verona, Curtis L. "Buck" Lambert, Jr. and wife Dorinda, of Mt. Solon, Calvin Lambert and wife Eva, of Churchville, Tim Lambert and wife Ann, of Mt. Solon, and Susan Lambert of Staunton; a sister, Doris Jean Hullings, of Mt. Solon.  He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Calvin Lambert, Jr., Amanda Massey, Chris Lambert, Jonathan Lambert, Brittany Lambert, Tiffany Lambert, Willie Lambert, Vicki Roadcap, and Samantha Hughes, and several great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter. A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Bridgewater at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 with Pastor Greg Miller officiating.  Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the , 420 Neff Ave, Suite 210, Harrisonburg, VA 22801 or the , 4217 Park Pl Ct, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.johnsonfs.com.
