Vargo, Cynthia AnnCynthia Ann Vargo, 65, passed away on June 15, 2017, in Mesa, Arizona. She was born on April 1, 1952, in Elmira, New York to the late Jon Vargo and the late Barbara Berg Vargo. Cindy grew up in Lockwood, New York and graduated from Spencer-Van Etten Central School in 1970. She continued her education at Slippery Rock State College, Brigham Young University, and Arizona State University, where she earned a Master's Degree in Non-Profit Services.Cindy had a great career working as an administrator for Girl Scouts, USA, and afterwards worked in management for Easter Seals, Splore, Body Positive, Communities in Schools, the Alzheimer's Association and East Valley Adult Resources. Cindy married Abby Trujillo Maestas and had a loving relationship with her for 35 years. Cindy had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way and dedicated her life to helping others. She lived life to the fullest by being an avid animal supporter, appreciating nature, cooking, traveling, entertaining guests, and working on home improvement projects. Cindy is survived by her spouse, Abby Trujillo Maestas, of Mesa, AZ; her son, Antonio David (Cristal Munoz) Maestas of Mesa, AZ; her brother Michael (Susan) Vargo of Lockwood, NY; her brother Edward (Doreen) Vargo of Lockwood, NY; and her brother Markus Vargo of Everett, Washington; and her loving nieces and nephews. Family, friends, and others whose lives Cindy touched will be invited to a memorial service the end of July-date and place to be announced.
