Mrs. Cynthia McWhorter (Cindy) Bryant died on April 19, 2014, at her residence.

Cindy was born on March 14, 1975, in LaGrange to Ben Anthony McWhorter Sr. and Jonie Hyatt Barnes. She was a graduate of Troup High School and furthered her education at LaGrange College, where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Social Work and a Masters Degree in Education. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her step mother, Pam McWhorter.

Surviving is her husband, Adam Bryant of LaGrange; daughter, MaryKahlen Bryant of LaGrange; mother, Jonie Barnes and her husband Ronald of Grantville; father, Benny McWhorter and his wife Meda of LaGrange; brother, Ben McWhorter and his wife Ashley of LaGrange; sister, Kim Huckleberry and her husband Brian of LaGrange; grandmothers, Yetta Cannon and Mary Nell McWhorter, both of LaGrange; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014, at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church on the Square with Dr. Paul Baxter officiating. Interment will follow the service at Restlawn Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends on Thursday evening at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel from 6-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been established for her daughter at CB&T under the name, MaryKahlen Bryant Fund. The family will also be available at the following addresses: 219 Wares Crossroad, LaGrange, 157 Alton Drive, LaGrange and 1255 Mountville/Hogansville Rd., Hogansville.
