Cythia King Nease, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed on February 14, 2021. Cythia was born on January 10, 1934. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, to David Park King and Evette Muth King and was the youngest of three children. Cindy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Peter S. Nease and two brothers. Cindy has always been known for her lively smile and sense of humor. She had a way to brighten the day of anyone who had the pleasure of encountering her. The dedication to her friends and family was something to be admired and has continued to inspire all of her children to be the guiding light she was for them. Cindy lived a prosperious life full of love and gratitude. The love she had for art led her to be a part of the Charleston Artist Guild, she was a skilled artist and loved being surrounded by other creative minds. The love Cindy had for nature is what led her to Charleston. Being near the ocean filled her with joy.
Cindy is survived by her loving children, Elizabeth (Steven) Johnson, Oliver (Teresa) Nease, James (Amelia) Nease, David (Emma) Nease, and Jennifer (John) Parker; and grandchildren, Jen Johnson, Aiden Nease, Ben Nease, and Charles Parker. The family welcomes the celebration of her life. At this time there will be no service. Cindy was adament that after her passing her loved ones would continue on and make the most of what they are given. The celebration of her life continues on within all of our hearts.
