D. Michael ClearyEast Lansing  age 59, our loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin and friend passed away on April 11, 2017.  Mike was born on June 7, 1957 in Milwaukee, the son of Thomas and Barbara (Larson) Cleary. A loving father of three, he was immensely proud of his daughters and their accomplishments. He always encouraged them to follow their dreams and do what makes them happy. He was a CPA and worked in financial management, had the unique ability to think outside the box and was always very creative and successful in solving problems.  Mike loved traveling and new adventures. He especially enjoyed spending time at the family home on Lake Michigan in the UP. Mike loved cats, especially his cat Simon.Mike is survived by his parents; his wife, Connie; his daughters; Jennifer Cleary, Elizabeth Cleary, Kathryn Cleary, his siblings; John (Jann) Cleary, Joe (Jan Dodge) Cleary, Tom Cleary Jr, Dan Cleary, Mary Ann (Saundra Dunn) Cleary,  Andrew Cleary, Bob (Linda) Cleary, Regina (David) Stout.Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 15, 2017 at 11am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave.  Visitation will be on Friday from 5-8pm at the funeral home with a rosary being prayed at 7:30pm.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI 48906 and the Greater Lansing Food Bank, PO Box 16224 Lansing, MI 48901.The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing.
