Da’ Shawn Noel Whitaker, respectfully known as KINGG SHAWN was born on April 26, 1996 in Washington North Carolina to Angela Whitaker Ward and Ronreco Lamont Ward at Beaufort County Hospital.
As a young child, Da’shawn attended Beaufort County schools and would later move to Norfolk where he continued his education and discovered his love for music. Striving to be an entrepreneur, Dashawn used his platform and upcoming success to help the people in his community and provide for his family.
In addition to spending time with friends and family Dashawn pursued his passion as an entertainer and rising artist while also grooming an outside family of young men and women to become better friends, family members and community leaders called SRT, also known as Slime Rixh Team.
On August 29, 2023 Dashawn departed this life. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Alexander Whitaker and great grandmother Gennie Ward.
Da’ Shawn leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Angela Whitaker Ward of Norfolk Virginia. Father, Ronreco Lemont Ward of Raleigh North Carolina. His siblings; Terri Whitaker, Davon Vines, his twin brother- Raequan Whitaker, Tyron Whitaker, all of Norfolk Va. and D’ Mydrius and E’ Mydrius Peed, Makenzie and Makayla Gibbs, Jaiden Beale, Ronreco Jr. all of Washington NC. 2 grandmothers; Ella Joyce Brockham of Washington NC, and Carolyn Jennette Ward of Raleigh NC. Grandfather, Jerry White (Kisha) of Washington NC. Aunts; Marilyn Vinson of Virginia, Monica Whitaker, Jacquelyn Whitaker, Jessica Gorham all of Washington NC, Christal Peartree of Raleigh NC, Tanasha Beach of Norfolk Virginia and Michelle White of North Carolina. Uncles; Alexander Whitaker Jr. (Amesha) and Justin White. 2 nieces; Arielle and Raine. 3 nephews; Camari, Rhyan and Davon Jr. all of Norfolk VA. His Girlfriend, Quiana Jordan and a host of other family members and friends.
