Daedrian Butler Obituary
Jun 02, 2005 - Jan 11, 2017
This obituary is administered by:
Daedrian Eric Butler, was granted his angel wings on May 11, 2017 following an unexpected seizure and multiple cardiac arrests. He was born on June 2, 2005 in El Paso, TX and resided in Richmond, TX. His final days were spent surrounded by his loving family and his closest of friends. Daedrian's life would seem too short to many, especially his family, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle heart, kind "Old Soul", and loving touch, with his side cracked smile continues to melt the hearts of those who knew him and even those who never met Daedrian a day in their lives. His voice, intelligent words, funny, yet dry jokes and thoughts could always be heard, and will remain imprinted in the hearts of those who knew and loved him best."Our Hero and Our Warrior," never stopped fighting and fought until he took his last and final breath. Daedrian possessed the kindest of hearts, thoughtfulness, intelligence beyond measure, respectfulness, sensitivity, strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds. He came into the world fighting for his life and sadly left the world fighting for his life. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. "Daedae" as he was fondly known enjoyed video games, music, waking up at the crack of dawn with the roosters, and spending time with his favorite cousin, Michael Perez. He loved the color "Crimson," as he was very particular and specific to detail, and recently became a huge fan of the Toronto Raptors. Daedrian always let everyone know that he was a Houston Texan's fan for life. His constant respect for law enforcement and military was displayed on a daily basis, as Daedrian felt it imperative to go up to him or her and extend his hand to shake theirs and thank them for their service. With Daedrian's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although he will be missed daily, especially his winning smile and beautifully sounding laugh. He will forever remain in our hearts. Through his teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be his parents. We are so thankful for his sister Jalissa and brother, Jarvis as they will forever hold dear the memory of Daedrian's gentle, kind, giving, and fun-loving spirit.Daedrian leaves behind his father, Broderick S. Butler; mother and father, Jessica and James Simon; sister, Jalissa A Martinez, and brother, Jarvis Butler. He also leaves behind his loving grandparents, Leticia G. Akposheri and Andres Martinez, Willie P. Akposheri, Mary Helen Butler, Savannah and Ernest Spann, and James and Kami Simon; loving aunties and uncles, Utude Akposheri, whom he loved like a mother, Melissa Griego, Sutina Harrington and several aunts and uncles in North and South Carolina. It would be remiss if Michael Perez, his special cousin, whom Daedrian not only loved as a big brother and best-friend be mentioned. He admired Michael and looked up to him. Daedrian was a "Griego," which to those that know the Griego family, know that means that he was blessed to be a part of a family of over 47 loving cousins that loved him and will always love him dearly. He had several uncles and aunts that helped raise and mold him into the young man he was. He will be forever remembered by his small circle of best-friends from Richmond and Katy, Texas. He was loved by many, but Daedrian was his own kind of unique person, and very different in his frame of thinking compared to most 11 year old boys his age. He suffered from bullying throughout his school years and for that reason alone, it is important to mention that Daedrian was big on changing the world for the better, where bullying didn't exist and people were no longer mean and didn't bully one another. He was a lover of all things created by God, from animals to plants, and in general Daedrian LOVED LIFE. Visitation will begin at 6 PM Thursday, May 18, 2017 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Avenue where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 10 AM Friday, May 19, 2017 in the same church with Reverend ????? officiating. Cremation will follow and Inurnment of Cremains will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anti-bullying Foundation: Born This Way Foundation, Inc. Our lives have and will be forever changed and only for the best, as we were blessed to have Daedrian in them. He will forever be loved and missed.Entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels of Las Cruces and Sunset Crematory, 527-2222 Your exclusive providers for "Veterans and Family Memorial Care" For online condolences logon to
