Smith in Sheffield, Alabama June 1, 1946. From their union became six children. Two daughters: Alexis Timms and Armene Michel. Four sons: Andrew, Ras, Arnold, and Renard Smith. Nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of neices, nephews, family and friends.
Mother Daisy L. Smith, being raised in a Christian family under great Christian disciplines, grew in her life not to be just a heater of the word but a doer. She became a great beacon of light. She stood in her convictions with much love and perseverance pleading with all her friends and family to walk in the way of God. Her greatest desire was that her children would fear God and keep his commandments. Sister Daisy was faithful to the truth and never compromised with any situation that arose in her family. She could perfectly love you with all her heart and yet stand against the sins in your life. As a mother there is none like her. She tenderly cared for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The comforts that came from her life could be given by nobody else. She loved her church. She loved the men of God in her life and she loved her pastor and was relentless in her faithfulness to the people of God. Truly this Pearl of great price will be missed by all. Thank God for the grace of having her with us for so many years. Amen.
