Dale E. Hamp, 69, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 3:41 p.m. Oct. 31, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. He was born on May 19, 1947, in Lima, to Paul E. and Alberta C. Miller Hamp, who have preceded him in death. Survivors include a sister, Sharon A. and David Helmlinger, of Wapakoneta; a brother, Dennis L. and Donna Hamp, of Connersville, Ind.; two nephews, Mark Helmlinger, of Delaware, and Thad and Deanna Helmlinger, of Walkerville, Mich.; a niece, Darcy and Chad Coates, of Wapakoneta; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; and seven cousins. He was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt, Bernard and Betty Miller. Dale attended Wapakoneta City Schools and served in the United States Army. He retired this fall from Koneta Rubber after working 46 dedicated years. Dale will be remembered as a hard worker, a good person and a beloved brother. A graveside service will begin at 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, where Reverend Glory Geib will officiate with military rites by the VFW Post 8445.  Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Memorial contributions may be made to a .  Condolences may be expressed at www.schlosserfuneralhome.com.
