Dale Eugene RiceZANESVILLE: Dale Eugene Rice 88 of Zanesville passed away peacefully at Genesis Hospital on August 18, 2015. He was born on May 7, 1927 in Newcomerstown, Ohio, the son of the late Earl V. and Gladys Farnsworth Rice.Dale served our country and protected our freedom, by serving in the Army during WWII. He retired from McGraw Edison after 25 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 29, a past member of the Elks, Moose and VFW 1058. He was also a member of the First Christian Chrurch.He is survived by his wife Maxine LeFever Rice of the home; a son Jeffrey (Jo'D) Rice; daughters, Jacque (Fritz) Ford, Judy (Steve Dillon) Tolley, Joni Petty (Chris) Millsap, Jill (Perry) Smith; grandchildren; Remy Kyes, Makenzie Kyes, Jamie Rice, Taylor Tolley, John T. Tolley, Zacharie Petty, Rachelle Petty, Mathias Petty, Katie Rice, Wesley (Emily) Tandy, Dylan Tandy; great grandchildren, Jaxon, Koben, Ishaan, Thai, Jaliyah, and Shawn.He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Arthella Rice; and a grandson, Shawn McFerren.Calling hours will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday August 20, 2015 and one hour prior to services at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W.MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE, OHIO. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday in the Snouffer Chapel with the Reverend Dawn Remster officiating.
