Details: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Ferrer, a Filipino immigrant who made his home in France, on April 11, 2023, at the age of 63. Dale was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend to many, and his passing is deeply felt by those who knew him. Born on October 23, 1959, in the Philippines, Dale immigrated to France in 1985. He worked hard to establish himself in his new country, and his perseverance and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends. Dale was a skilled chef and worked in several prestigious restaurants throughout his career, including the Michelin-starred Le Jules Verne in Paris. Outside of work, Dale was a devoted husband to his wife, Marie, and a loving father to his two children, Jean-Luc and Sophie. He loved spending time with his family, taking long walks in the French countryside, and exploring the local culture and history. Dale was also an avid reader, with a particular passion for French literature and philosophy. Dale will be remembered as a kind, generous, and compassionate man, with a deep love for his family and his adopted country. He was always eager to help others and had a natural talent for making people feel at ease. Dale's warm smile and gentle nature will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Dale is survived by his wife, Marie, his children, Jean-Luc and Sophie, his siblings in the Philippines, and many nieces, nephews, and friends in France and around the world. A memorial service will be held on April 16, 2023, at the Saint-Sulpice Church in Paris, followed by a reception at the Eiffel Tower restaurant. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Médecins Sans Frontières in Dale's memory.
