NEWPORT NEWS - Damita Rochelle Deloatch Patterson, daughter to Robert and Carol Deloatch, Jr., was born on Thursday, March 16, 1967 in Newport News. Damita graduated from Menchville High School in 1985 and then attended Norfolk State University. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Christine Deloatch, Sr. and Wallace and Lucy Reed. She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband, Robert E. Patterson, Jr.; her loving daughter, Courtney M. Yarbough; two sons, Trystan Delk and Rashad E. Patterson; grandson, London E. Rivers; brother, Robert W. Deloatch III; two sisters, Renita A. Deloatch and Regina A. Deloatch-Ratliff; nephew, Lonnie Ratliff IV; her loving in-laws, Robert and Nonglak Patterson Sr.; two brothers-in-law, Randall Patterson and Kanin Honvichai; sister-in-law, Kantima Honvichai; niece, Kanitha Honvichai; nephew, Kniran Honvichai; and a host of other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Damita's life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 11 at Ivy Baptist Church, Newport News. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
