Today, we mourn the loss of a beloved husband, father, and friend; Daniel Green (also referred to by his middle name, Mark.) Born on November 30, 1957 in Rogersville, Missouri, Daniel called Springfield, MO his home. Regrettably, Daniel passed away on August 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, endurance and laughter.
Daniel was the son of Joseph and Irene Green and the loving husband of Tina, whom he married in 1987. Together, they raised three wonderful children - Dustin, Marquitta, and Corey. Daniel was a much adored Pawpaw to several pets of his children— Veronica, Littles, Sunny, Chibi, and Crusher. Daniel was a dedicated family man, always putting his loved ones first. He had plenty a joke or outrageous story to share from his colorful life.
After studying at Central High School, Daniel went on to serve his country in the Army. He proudly joined the Shriners in 2011, where he made many lasting friendships.
Among his many hobbies, Daniel particularly enjoyed putting up Halloween and Christmas decorations around the house, watching old classic TV shows, and listening to all types of music. He had a zest for life, a gentle soul and a contagious smile that will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His ability to treasure the simple and innocent things in life will forever remain a trait his family and friends will aspire to carry on in his name.
Although Daniel is in a much more peaceful and bright place now, his spirit lives on in the hearts of his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and joy that will continue to comfort and uplift those who were lucky enough to know him. While Heaven saw him reunite with his parents, several family members, dear friends as well as family pets, this world won’t be quite the same without him.
