Daniel was the son of Saint Totten and Laura Gaines Totten. He was the brother to Ester Mae Henry( Arthur), Sadie Smith( Otis Lee), Fannie Bethel (Thomas), Sharon Elder( Wayne), Enouch Totten(Shirley), Aaron Totten( Marva Ann), Joseph Totten(Linda), Ulysses Totten(Gayle), and Jeffrey Totten.

Known for his magnetic personality and infectious laughter, Daniel brought joy to every room he entered. He had a profound ability to make people feel valued, often leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known him. With his genuine interest in others and his boundless compassion, he formed deep and meaningful connections throughout his journey.
