Daniel BrowningDaniel Browning, 65, of Fort Hall, Idaho passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in Elko, Nevada.Daniel was born on November 5, 1948 in Fort Hall, Idaho to Roosevelt and Elaine Humpy Browning. He lived much of his life in Fort Hall, Idaho but occasionally spent time in Owyhee, Nevada.Daniel attended schools in Pocatello, Idaho and received training in Law Enforcement and auto mechanics of which he became a Tribal Police Officer, Fish & Game Officer, auto mechanic, farmer, and a handy-man of various skills. He was also an active member of the Native American Church, and an avid traditional sportsman. He made sure to pass on the respect for our Sogo-Bia (Mother Earth).Daniel is survived by his children, Danford and Dalphine Browning; his sisters, Alta and Kathleen Browning; traditional family Alvida (Wilford) Ballard, Lillian Jackson, Elaine Ramsey, Howard and Eva Hardy, Marcia Poog, Evelyn Tindore, Jeanette and Duane Wahwahsuck, Utahna Papse, and Eva Tyler; and although not named individually, he was very close to his many nieces and nephews and very proud of his great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Terri Browning and Cecilia Perry, his sons Aldayne Browning and Theron Dunn, and his nephew Robert Pahnemah.Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Cedar Cemetery on Reservation Road in Fort Hall, Idaho. Viewing will be held at the Browning Residence, Hiline and Reservation Rd., from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm Saturday.
