McLALLEN Graveside services for Daniel Dean McLallen, 72, will be held 1PM Monday, November 28, 2016 at JACKSONVILLE NATIONAL CEMETERY, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. Daniel was born on February 3, 1944 in Galt, Missouri. He was the son of the late Claude McLallen. Daniel went home to be with the Lord on November 21, 2016 in Orange Park, FL surrounded by his family. Daniel served his country proudly in the United States Navy serving during Desert Storm and retiring after 30 years of decorated service. He went on to make a career in Civil Service at NADEP as a ENE Aircraft Examiner and retired after 28 additional years of dedicated service. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving daughters, Wendy Z. McLallen and Sherri A. Thorn and her husband Jason; his mother, Mary Catherine Young; three grandchildren, Kenneth and Gregory Depue and Zachary Thorn, as well as many other loving family members and friends. Daniel will be remembered as a man dedicated to his country, devoted to his family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2PM-4PM at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL.
