Oswald, age 75, of 126 Tower Avenue, Whitelaw (Village of Kellnersville), passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at his residence.Dan was born on April 17, 1941, in Manitowoc, son of the late Henry "Sam" and Agnes (Bleser) Oswald. He was a 1959 graduate of Reedsville High School. On February 24, 1962, he was married to Dawn M. Menchal at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. Dan worked for Manitowoc Engineering for 32 years retiring in 1998 due to illness. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, raising pigeons, bowling, trap shooting, gardening and being in the outdoors. Dan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kellnersville. Survivors include his wife: Dawn Oswald, Kellnersville; his six children include: Doug (Sue) Oswald, Kellnersville; Dean (Stacie) Oswald, Maribel; Deanna (Don) Weger, rural Manitowoc; Darrin Oswald and his special friend: Ang Mohr, Kellnersville; Dana (Mike) Tesarik, Whitelaw; Deidra (Joe) Ebert, Whitelaw; his best buddy: Brady; eighteen grandchildren: Beth Rahmlow; Nick Oswald; Brett Oswald and his special friend: Brooke Brice; Devon Oswald; Savannah Oswald; Taylor Weger; Landon Weger; Hailey Oswald; Caitlyn Oswald; Addison Oswald; Rylee Mohr; Kyle Tesarik; Kora Tesarik; Kolton Tesarik; Kaden Tesarik; Kendyll Ebert; Brantley Ebert; two great-grandchildren: Jimmy Rahmlow; Hana Rahmlow; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Roger (Lorraine) Oswald, Manitowoc; David (Annette) Oswald, Shoto; one sister and brother-in-law: Rose Mary (David) Jensen, Reifs Mills; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Mary Jo (David) Lindemann, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry "Sam" and Agnes Oswald; one daughter: Dixie Ann Oswald; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edward and Ivy Menchal.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. Rev. John Becker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 1124 Main Street, Kellnersville on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
