Daniel (Dan) Gray Lubbock Jr.1938-201678, of Houston, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016. He was born on October 28, 1938 to Dan Lubbock Sr. and Ella Francis Lubbock. He was preceded in death by wife Mary Ellen Lubbock. Dan is survived by wife, Beverly Latham Lubbock; daughters, Debbie Mullen and husband Brian, and Donna Barker and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Laura, Pamela, Rebecca Mullen, Brandon and Brianna Feather, Nicholas and Natalie Olinger; brothers in law, Louis R. Long, Gene Latham; sister in law, Susan Watson; stepdaughter, Lyndy Olinger and husband Rob; cousin, Allen Lubbock Lewis, along with numerous other family members and friends. Dan graduated from Lamar High School and went on to graduate from The University of Houston. He served in The U.S. Army Reserves and was the previous owner of Bijou Theatre and also Mustang Metal Co. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Missouri City, and a member of Cross Training Bible Class of Second Baptist Church, and a dedicated member of CBS Bible Study. Dan was a Stephens Minister, Facilitator of Bridge to Life Prison Ministry, Past President of Quail Valley MGA, Past President of Quail Valley Exchange Club, Past President of Houston Touchdown Club, and Current Board Member of Houston Touchdown Club. He will be greatly missed.Visitation will be held from 5pm until 7pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at The Settegast-Kopf Co. Funeral Directors at Sugar Creek. A Memorial service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at First United Methodist Church Missouri City, 3900 Lexington Blvd, Missouri City, TX 77459. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Dan's name to Bridges to Life Ministry.
