Daniel R Saltzman, WB6MVP, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020. He was born on May 10, 1944, in Los Angeles and spent most of his life in the San Fernando Valley. He is survived by his wife, Janet Saltman, his two children, Karen Wright and Corey Saltzman, Daughter-in-law Laura Saltzman, and his four grandchildren, Luke Wright, Chloe Wright, Sara Saltzman and Amanda Saltzman.
He graduated from Canoga Park High School and went on to become a Broadcast Engineer. He retired from FOX 11 in 2011 after working 43 years in the industry.
His first passion in life was his for his wife, Janet. They were married for 54 years and he adored her. He loved amature radio and enjoyed belonging to HAM clubs and talking with people from all over the world. He enjoyed all things Disney, especially The Little Mermaid and Tinker Bell (in that order).
Dan and his wife, Janet, lived in West Hills, CA, for 47 years before they moved to Las Vegas, in 2018 ,where they bought their dream home and planned a happy retirement.
The family is not planning a funeral at this time but plans to have a celebration-of-life gathering in a few months.
