Danny L. Frakes 1960—2016Danny L. Frakes, 55, of Gulfport, MS., and formerly of Freeport, died Sunday March 20, 2016. Danny was born on April 16, 1960 in Rochelle, the son of Roy and Frances (Stouffer) Frakes. He married Teresa Dawn Burnett on March 19, 2003. Danny worked as a carpenter and a surveillance agent. He enjoyed woodworking, following the Chicago Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and Cubs. Danny was a fan of NHRA and golf. Surviving are his wife, Teresa Frakes; children, Alisha Frakes, Debra (Michael) Patterson, Connie Bicksler, Stephanie Smith, and Cheyeanne Burnett; brothers, Bill (Donna) Frakes and Tom (Becky) Frakes; sister, Joyce Frakes; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Lauren, and Michaela Bicksler, Dayren Booker, Gracie Bramer, Devon Patterson, and Tija, Tigan, and Kennedy Darden. Also surviving are nephews, Jason and Chad Frakes; and niece, Mindy (Jeremy) Grayewski. Preceded in death by his parents.Memorial visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday April 2, 2016 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory. Following the service there will be a celebration of life at Route 26 Bar & Grill.
