Darius Thomas, born on March 17, 2004, left this world on May 11, 2023, at an age much too young. Darius was born to loving parents Alfreda and Adrian Thomas and was the youngest of three siblings. From the moment of his birth, he was a shining light in the lives of his family and friends.
Darius spent his childhood years growing up in an Ruff area where he stood out in Albany,Ga, where he attended school and made many close friends. He was an intelligent and talented young man, excelling in both academics and sports. Darius had a curious mind and was always asking questions, eager to learn about the world around him.
Throughout his life, Darius was passionate about sports. He played both basketball and football throughout his school years, and was known for his determination and skill on the field. Darius was a true athlete, and his passion for sports inspired those around him to push themselves to be better.
Despite his youth, Darius faced numerous challenges throughout his life.
Darius's kindness and generosity were unmatched. He had a contagious smile that would light up a room, and he never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. His selflessness and compassion touched the lives of many, and his memory will continue to inspire others to live their lives with kindness and warmth.
Darius is survived by his loving parents Alfreda Belvin and Adrian Thomas, his siblings, Oldest brother (Tyler Thomas)and Two devoted sisters ( Tykeria) (Brashauna)many extended family members and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
In honor of Darius's life and legacy, Darius's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to those who supported them during this difficult time.
Darius Thomas will forever be remembered as a bright light in the world, whose kindness, generosity, and strength inspired those around him to be better. May he rest in peace.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Sunday May 14, 2023 at Lula Chapel Primitive Baptist Church located on Georgia HWY 26 West in Oglethorpe, Georgia. Elder James Lyles, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in the Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery.
