Darlean Foster, aka Gangsta Boo/ Big Diesel, born on November 17, 1979, in Peoria, Illinois, has left us on January 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished. Darlean was the beloved daughter of Isiah and Matty Foster and the loving partner of Sylvester Erving, who proceeded her in death. She studied at Woodruff High School and graduated in 1997. Darlean was known as the Family Caregiver and was always willing to lend a helping hand or listening ear.

Darlene was one of 15 kids. She was the second youngest. Her sisters were Helen Sanders, Ellawee Lathum (Walter Lathum), Earline Foster, Ilean Foster (Pablo Sanchez), and Sharlean Griffin (Eric Griffin). Her brothers were John Wesley, Clarence Sanders, Perry Sanders, Preston Sanders, Cedric Sanders (Kenya Sanders), Dorsey Fletcher, Isiah Foster Jr., Lovey Foster, and Willie Foster. She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, and her brothers, John, Preston, Isiah, and Willie.

Darlean had 6 Godchildren. Her Goddaughters were Cedrika Sanders, Marlean Wade, April Kingcade, Ni'yell Sanders, and Emiya Griffin. Her only Godson was Jimmy Gibson. She left behind a host of nieces and nephews that loved her and she loved back dearly.

Darlean was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many. She had a contagious energy and a warm spirit that lit up any room she entered. Her passion for cooking, hosting family gatherings, fishing with loved ones, and Kickin Da Bobos brought joy and laughter to all those around her. Darlean's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Although Darlean may no longer be with us physically, her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was truly cherished and adored by many.
