Dar, Cant believe youre gone my friend. Sorry we parted on unhappy terms ????. I often think about how much fun we use to have, talking, laughing, dancing and living the good life. Our nights out at Mugs will never be forgotten. Love you my friend and hope you are surrounded by the love of your Mom, Dad and Brother. ??

Darlene would be so proud that Brandywine Animal Rescue in Delaware is receiving dogs from Australia to care for and find new homes. For a woman who had a very special connection with dogs (one of few in this world who could cuddle with my sister's dog Atlas), I thought it only fitting to make this donation in her name. Rest In Peace Darlene, you touched so many lives. Thank you for your recent donation to the Brandywine Valley SPCA in the amount of $50.00 on January 19, 2020 in honor of Darlene E. Anthens (Chatman). We truly appreciate your generosity and the fact that you care about animals.
The Brandywine Valley SPCA was the first open admission shelter in Pennsylvania to achieve No Kill status and we have opened shelters in New Castle and Georgetown to serve the state of DE. We will care for over 13,000 stray, owner-surrendered, wayward owned and abused and neglected animals each year and we are finding homes or other placement for 95% of the homeless pets that enter our shelter. Through our dedication to maintaining an open door policy and our commitment to lifesaving and second chances, the Brandywine Valley SPCA is creating a No Kill community.
The significant progress at the Brandywine Valley SPCA would not be possible without the generous support of a compassionate and caring community. I hope you will continue to be part of the tremendous change occurring in our shelters. Our renewal will mean a more humane and compassionate community for all.

Dear Dar you will always be missed and never forgotten.. I wait everyday for you to come see me and reality hits me like a ton of bricks. You wont be coming cause your heart and soul stands right with me, but I miss your smile and silly laugh. I will do my best to be there for Chrissy because I know if you could tell me one last thing it would be to look over her.
