Darlene Mae Swed1949 - 2013Darlene Mae Swed, 64, of Townsend, Wis., died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis., under the care of Unity Hospice. She was born on Feb. 16, 1949, in Kenosha, to Donald and Dorothy (Schroeder) Bruns. Darlene graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha. On Sept. 6, 1986, she married Edward (Marty) Swed in Orlando, Fla. Darlene worked as a teller at Citizens Bank in Florida. In 1996, Darlene and Marty moved to Townsend to help care for her father. She worked as a teller at the Citizens Bank in Townsend for 13 years, she enjoyed getting to know everyone she came in contact with. Darlene loved working in her flower gardens; she liked everything looking nice, whether in the yard or in her home. She enjoyed spending time with her husband dancing, fishing, and four wheeling.Darlene is survived by her husband Marty of Townsend; her mother, Dorothy of Townsend; one daughter, Christine (Rich) Moncheck of Monroe Falls, Oh.; two sisters, Sheryl Dennis of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Tina Borst of Kenosha and one brother, Jerry Bruns of Kenosha. She is further survived by three grandchildren, Allison, Andrew, and Aaron; nephews, David, Joel, Brian, and Nathan; niece, Kristy; five great nephews and five great-nieces.She was preceded in death by her father Donald.A memorial service for Darlene will be on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Fr. Benjamin Sember will officiate. Weber-Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
