Darnell Edward Stokes, 74, passed on September 28, 2022. He was born to Edward Stokes Sr and Eleanor Stokes in Crewe, Virginia on January 18, 1948.

He married Deborah “Debbie” Johnson-Stokes and they lived together in Blackstone, Virginia. Together they raised 5 children Walter stokes, Hannah Stokes, Leon stokes , Terry stokes, Larry stokes. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

Darnell graduated from Nottoway High School in 55.

SSGT Stokes served his country for 12 years as a Artillery in the Army.
