Darnell Mabry Sealie, age 48, died on May 16, 2021. He was born to Mabry and Priscella in Garden City, Michigan on August 27, 1972. Darnell graduated from Inkster High School in 1990. He went on to Washtenaw Community College to pursue the field of architecture, something that would allow him to do what he loved—drawing. His amazing art skills eventually presented him with opportunities to work with Disney and art greats within DC comics. Darnell eventually moved to California to pursue his dreams. In athletics he enjoyed playing Basketball with family and friends. He also loved traveling to visit family out of state and amusement parks. Many things will be missed about "D", mostly, his avid imagination, his infectious personality, and his extraordinary ability to motivate and touch anyone he came in contact with.
He is survived by his children, Darnell, affectionately known as "Lil D," and Muirjani, his wonderful daughter from his marriage to Twansi (who preceded him in death). He is also survived by his parents, Mabry and Priscella; his brother;Cordell, his sister-in-law, ChaKyra; his nephews, Jaden, Jarren, and Javon, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
You can to the family or in memory of Darnell Sealie.

Darnell was a dear friend and confidant - a co-producer and inker on F.X. Mulroney, with Pat Jackson and myself. We traveled together, hitting the Comic Con circuit - industry after parties, and a few of our own.
We went through a lot together and aspiring to be better versions of ourselves. We’ve lost touch over the years since he moved out to Sunny CALIFORNIA.
He was always a positive reinforcement- looking not only to the horizon, but around the curve beyond the visible to what could be, where the driven could reach.
I was honored that he was a member of our Wedding Party, and shared a bond with us that remains today. And coined the phrase ‘QUEEN’ for my wife, I can hear his deep voice right now “How’s the Queen?”
We spent countless hours talking and inspiring one another! What could have been, my FRIEND!
You’ll truly be missed my brother!
Rest in Power, “D”
My Brother, Darnell !
