Darrel Fred Stanelle, age 88, of Brillion, passed away on August 8, 2017 at Brillion West Haven surrounded by his family.Darrel was born on June 10, 1929 in Brillion, son of the late Sulivan and Edna (Zuelke) Stanelle. He was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1948. Darrel married Eldora Bruss on September 6, 1958 at Zion Lutheran Church in Morrison. He also worked at the Ariens Co for 29 years until his retirement. Darrel was also volunteer with the Forest Junction Fire Department, retiring after 25 years of service. Darrel is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eldora of Brillion; their nine children: Ellen & Floyd Hawkins of Brillion, Linda Stanelle of Forest Junction, Ruth & Don Ketels of Kaukauna, Susan & Ken Juckem of Chilton, Doris Stanelle of Brillion, Dennis & Tracey Stanelle of Appleton, Lloyd & Colleen Stanelle of Greenleaf, Glenn Stanelle of Brillion, and Kelly LaBrec of Appleton; 11 Granchildren: Melissa, Jeremiah, Tyler, Rebecca, Adam, Amanda, Kaden, Alexis, Jonathan, Devin, Airiana; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Hilda Hacker and Lorraine Bruss; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Alfred & Blandina (Radtke) Bruss, twin sons, David and John Stanelle, one grandson, Nathan Stanelle, two brothers and one sister-in-law: Gilbert & Arlene Stanelle and Merlin Stanelle, and three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Harold (Elna) Bruss, Gilbert Bruss, and Harold Hacker. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Faith United Methodist, 204 Horn Street in Brillion. Officiating will be the Rev. Dale Eggert. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Junction.Friends may call at the church on Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.Online condolences may be made.
