Van Goethem, Darrold "Jeff"Darrold "Jeff" J. Van Goethem, 78, Stangelville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 07, 2017 due to multiple health issues. He is at Peace with the Lord, after he courageously battled many years with health issues. He was born on September 28, 1938 in Sugarbush to the late Archie and Myrtle (Van Pay) Van Goethem. On June 13, 1959 Jeff married the love of his life Pat Kelsey at Annunciation Church, Green Bay. They shared 57 years of happily married life, in which he really enjoyed Pat's great cooking. Together they farmed in Stangelville, and for 29 years he was employed with Procter and Gamble Co. Green Bay. After retirement he drove semi for Wallstreet Warehouse for several years because he loved driving Semi's. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa. His passions were farming, watching the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and sporting events of his children and grandchildren. He was able to experience a few special traveling vacations with Pat in Hawaii, Punta Cana, Florida, as well as other mini vacations. He loved going up to Lakewood at the family cottage to spend time with the family fishing, until his health issues prevented him from doing so. He worked hard all his life to give his family a good life with many happy memories.Jeff is survived by his beloved wife Pat and their five children, Lori (Jim) Ferron and their son, Tyler Ferron; Nancy (Rick) Tlachac and their three children, Eric (Laura), Lynessa and Matthew Tlachac; Mary (Don) Miller and their three children, Jeff, Dustin (fiance' Nadine), Kelsey Miller; Joanie (Mike) Dalebroux and their two children, Josh (special friend Lindsey), Alicia Dalebroux (special friend Dylan); John (Coreen) Van Goethem and their three children, Samantha (Tristen) Bertrand, Kody Van Goethem (special friend Samantha), Sarah Kust; eight great-grandchildren, Tyas, Natalie, Ava, Hailey, Evelyn, Lillian, Kayden and Braylon; sisters and brothers, Carol LeLou; Betty (Howard) Wagner; Elaine Leiterman; Bill (Linda) Van Goethem; Ray (Jeanette) Van Goethem; Diane (Vince) Delain; Carol Van Goethem (Dale); brothers in law and sisters in law, Bob Kelsey; Tom (Carol) Kelsey; Cliff Kelsey (Debbie); Karl (Mary) Kelsey; Paul (Debbie) Kelsey; Karen (Jeff) Nick; Alba Kelsey: Sharelle Kelsey; Gloria Kelsey, Shirley Kelsey; many nieces and nephews.Jeff is preceded in death by his parents; his father in law and mother in law, Louis and Eva Kelsey; one grandson, Craig Miller; three brothers, Arnie (Joyce), Harrold (Karen), Bob Van Goethem; brothers in law and sisters in law, Don, Clayton, Ed, Jerry, Judi Kelsey, Shirley and Jack Rudolph, Marcien LeLou, Marlin Zimmer, Don Leiterman.Jeff loved spending time and teasing his little dog, DeeDee. DeeDee brought him endless hours of joy and held a special place in his heart. She was brought to see him numerous times when he was hospitalized and recovering upon his request, because he missed her deeply.Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Closing parish prayer service 7:00 pm with Christal Wavrunek, Pastoral Minister. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am, Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St Therese Parish-St. Lawrence Site, Stangelville. Funeral 11:00 am, at the church with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum, Allouez.
www.mcmahonfh.com.The family would like to thank Aurora Hospital and Clinics for their great care and treatment especially the care given in his last days in ICU under the care of Dr. Matas Morkevicius, who was so compassionate, caring and educating in Jeff's fragile condition. The ICU staff who monitored him so closely, Hospice and the first floor nursing staff who brought love, comfort and care. Also, close to Jeff's heart because of special care given to him, Chris and Sabeen. His wife Pat was the best caregiver of all, she spent many years taking great care of him.
