Daryl W. CooperShreveport, LA - Daryl W. Cooper passed away on October 14, 2017, at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born on May 17, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri.Daryl was owner of Regal Plastic in Shreveport and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Daryl was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with his buddies every Sunday. Daryl also loved his Kansas City Royals. He finally got his lifetime dream of seeing them play and win the World Series in 2015.Daryl and Jean loved to travel and were blessed to visit many wonderful places throughout the world, while making beautiful memories.Daryl is survived by his wife, Jean Chappell Cooper; daughters, Michelle Wagley (Ronnie), of Gainesville, FL and Jennifer Atkinson (Michael), of St. Louis, MO; brothers-in-law, Rick Chappell (Phyllis) and Randy Chappell (Carol); and sister-in-law, Anita Williams (Kirk). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Connor Dean, Jacob Wagley, Cooper Humphrey, Sarah Wagley, Layne Humphrey, and Ryan Wagley; nephews, Nathaniel Chappell, Trey Williams and Sean Chappell; nieces, Meredith Williams, Emily Chappell and Rebecca Chappell.Pallbearers will be Louie Ballis, Keith Gamble, Kevin Gamble, Kevin Gamble, Jr., Lynn Sunderland and Byron Trust.Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of the Shreveport and Baton Rouge Regal Plastic locations.Daryl was the funniest, sweetest, kindest and most loving man you could ever meet and he will be greatly missed by so many!A very special thank you to Southern Care Hospice, Martha Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, Byron and Bobbie Trust, and so many other family and friends.Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm with services beginning at 1:00 pm, at Osborn Funeral Home. Officiating will be a very special friend, Wayne Gono. Graveside services will follow at Rocky Mount Cemetery, in Bossier Parish.In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of Daryl to the charitable organization of your choice.
