David John Smithson passed away at his home on Friday, May 17, 2024. He was the youngest of four born to Philip Smithson Jr. and Rosemary (Fisher ) Smithson. After graduating from Middleton H.S. he began working in construction.

After a few years, when he heard his brother (Bob) was moving to Florida, he decided to follow him.

Once there, he became self-employed with his own construction business. Moving on from there, he continued working in the building business until his retirement.

David was a true family man. All his life, he's always been about family. Nothing made him happier than being married with his children. He was a very hardworking, compassionate, kind, generous man. He was very quick witted and could make anyone smile or laugh with his great sense of humor.

Aunts: Beverly Haas, Virginia (Ginny ) White, Judi Harrington, Grace Hines, Virginia (Nance) Cutrell, Annette Smithson.

One Christmas David was gifted a Vintage MG Convertible Roadster. He loved that car and with it, took great pride and joy. He loved cruising around the neighborhood often taking his kids & Grandkids for rides whenever he could. Many who saw him smiled, waved & he often stopped to talk with admirers.
