Strand, David B.David Brian Strand, age 58, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton.David was born on August 9, 1958 in San Francisco, California a son of the late John and Alma (Liila) Strand. David was a 1976 Appleton West High School graduate. Following his education Dave was employed at Austin's Grocery Store and became the store manager. He also drove Cab in the Appleton area for a few years. He was an avid Baseball and Bowling sportsman and enjoyed the Beatles and playing his Bass Guitar. David is survived by his brother, Daniel Strand and Sandy Bartels, Appleton; a nephew, Andrew (Sarah) Strand, Appleton; and a great-niece and nephew, Mac and Anna Strand, Appleton and by two close friends, Gary Shebilske and Todd Hahnemann. David was also preceded in death by his grandparents.A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Valley Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery Neenah. David's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. David's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Elder Lodge for their care and compassion of David.
