David BroussardLafayette - Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Syrie Funeral Home for David Broussard, 68, who died September 18, 2017 while rehabbing after surgery at the Camelot of Broussard Assisted Living Facility. Services will be conducted by Pastor Harold Alexander. David was born on June 8, 1949 to the late Freddie Broussard Sr. and Gladys Mouton Broussard. He was one of six brothers and three sisters. He retired from the Knights Oil Tools after serving 25 years.He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Geraldine; her daughter, Carla Landry; two grandchildren, Michelle and Mariah (Eric); one great-grand child, Tyran; two brothers, Joseph Broussard (Rose) and Rodney Broussard (Agatha); one sister, Mary Benjamin, all of Lafayette; one aunt, Cecilia Solomon of Cade and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. They also had three beloved dogs, Ebony, Natasha and Buddy.He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie Broussard, Sr. and Gladys Mouton Broussard; two sisters, Louella Batiste and Geraldine Roberts; three brothers, Freddie Broussard Jr., Ronnie "Big Bruce" Broussard and Charles Broussard.
