David Clarence Hansen, 76, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at the Heritage Home in Preston, Idaho. He was born on May 4, 1938, in Preston, to W. Deloss and Vera Jane Jensen Hansen. He married Cheryl Tipton and they had a daughter, Julie. They were later divorced. He later met and married Joan Fackrell.Dave attended school in Preston, and after high school he served an LDS Mission. He attended and graduated from Utah State University. He worked in the aerospace industry as an engineer and later as a computer consultant. He loved horses and enjoyed playing the piano.He is survived by his wife, Joan, of Preston; a daughter Julie (Matt) Hippley, of Westlake, California; and stepchildren Carrie Bancroft of Westminster, Colorado; Russell Bancroft of Salt Lake City; Steven Bancroft, of Duchesne, Utah; and Amy Bancroft of Preston; one grandchild, seven step-grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Ross (Karen) Hansen, of Preston; and two sisters Janeal (Lynn) Call, of Alpine, Utah; and Kathy (Keith) Griffin, of Preston. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Janet.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in the Fairview 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 165 W. 4800 South in Preston with Bishop Kip Rawlings conducting. A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
