David Campos De Alba David Campos De Alba passed away peacefully on December 3, 2016. He was 91 years old. Mr. De Alba was born on December 28, 1924 on a ranch called Santa Teresa near San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico to Francisco de Alba and Guadalupe Campos. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maria Socorro De Alba and six adult children and their spouses; David and Kathy De Alba, Martha and Steve Sciamanna, Fernando and Judy De Alba, Rachel and Gary Von Rivenburgh, Humberto and Mary De Alba, and Ricardo and Victoria De Alba. He is survived by ten grandchildren; Diana, John, Amanda, Ben, Simone, Ellis, Dan, Marty, Billy and Jeffrey. He was predeceased in death by his brothers Antonio, Fermin, Nemencio and Feliciano; and by sisters Margarita and Catalina. His only surviving sibling is Vidalita from Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco.Mr. De Alba arrived in the United States in 1947 and in 1948 he and his brother made their way to Colusa County where they both worked as farm laborers. While on a visit to San Francisco he met his future wife in a restaurant where she and her mother worked. They married in 1953 and bought a home in 1958 where they lived and raised their six children. Mr. De Alba worked for Dinwiddie Construction Company as a laborer for twenty-five years working on many of San Francisco's most iconic buildings such as the Embarcadero Center, One Market Plaza and the Transamerica Pyramid. He was a proud union member of Laborers SF Local 261. In retirement, he worked part time as a ticket-taker, doorman and elevator operator at the Cow Palace, the Moscone Center, Candlestick Park and his favorite, AT&T Park. He loved working during the Giants' games where he worked till age 90, joyfully greeting season ticket-holders, players, dignitaries, employees and guests.He had many friends, was loved by all and will be deeply missed.A rosary service will be held Sunday, December 11, 2016, 6:00pm at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City. A funeral mass will be held Monday, December 12, 2016, 10:30am at Saint Roberts Catholic Church, San Bruno, CA. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
