David Daniel Hunt Jr, also known to the family as Chip,passed away on May 25th, 2020 in his home in Cedar Hill, Texas. He was born on November 16th, 1963, to Emma Lee and David Daniel Hunt Sr. in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Chelsea High School in 1981 and went on to New York City College of Technology to study electrical engineering. In high school, David excelled at track and field and was the top high hurdle jumper in New York City. As a kid, David loved skateboarding and riding his bike all over the city. David also loved to DJ and creating beautiful graffiti art. His DJ name was Thunder One. He later discovered a love of baking and became a pastry chef; in hopes of owning his own bakery shop one day. David married Rene Quinney, April 26, 2007 in Bronx, New York. Shortly after, moving to Texas where they built their 1st home together. Finally, learning how to drive and owning his first vehical; he was so thrilled. He began his career at Baylors Hospital as an Security Officer; enjoying helping others and protecting and serving to the best of his ability. David was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his family. David is survivied by his wife, Rene; step daughter, Angela; grand children; Kyra, Chasity and Chantz; mother, Emma; sisters, Emily and Jill; nieces, Lauren, Rebekah and Jessica; nephew Zachary; and his, great nieces and nephews; Mikayla, Silencia and Dillion. Family, friends and others whose lives David touched are invited to celebrate his home going in Cedar Hill Tx, from 2-4pm on Saturday June 6, 2020, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and of course, just chat.
