David E Oldham, 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his Yuma home on Thursday, January 2, 2014. He was born on September 15, 1935 in Pueblo, CO. He entered the
U.S. Navy at 18 and proudly served his country for 20 years. Afterwards he worked bridge-construction for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was best known for his love of anything Irish, from St. Patrick's Day to green top hats and shillelaghs. It was a rare day that he wasn't dressed in something green and he loved to greet people with a smile and "a top of the morning to you". He kept his sunny disposition right up to the end.David is survived by sisters, Peggy Oldham of Joplin, MO and Patsy Valencia of Pueblo, CO; children, Jacqueline Strange of Garden Grove, CA, Alexis McMannis (Craig) of Winters, CA, and Race Oldham (Tesa) of Salt Lake City, UT; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
