HOOKSETT - David E. Roy, 55, of Hooksett, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass.He was born on April 26, 1961, son of the late John Roy and Pauline (St. Onge) Roy. He was the husband of Lisa (Cannistraro) Roy. They were married on Sept. 26, 2009.David was a 1979 graduate of Manchester Memorial School. After graduation, he went on to operate his own plumbing business, D.E. Roy Plumbing and Heating, for more than 30 years.David always enjoyed sports throughout his life, especially baseball. He is even honored in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., for hitting a home run in the Babe Ruth World Series. He later went on to play for the Sweeney Post. He loved spending time with his family, and always looked forward to the tradition of sharing Sunday dinner with them.David leaves behind his wife, Lisa, of Hooksett; his sons, Marc and John Roy, both of Manchester; his step-daughter, Liliana Jursak of Hooksett; three brothers, Ronald Roy and his wife, Paulette, of Naples, Fla., Norman Roy and his wife, Diane, of Auburn, and William Roy of Manchester; his sister, Diane Lanctot, and her husband, David, of Manchester; his aunt, Charlotte Richard-Gamache of Kittery, Maine; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him..SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, Nov. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, N.H.
