David P. "Duck" Esquibel, 56, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at his home. He was born on June 29, 1956, in Los Vigiles to Filiberto Esquibel and Annie Archibeque Esquibel.He was united in marriage on April 10, 1998, in Las Vegas, to Pauline R. Crespin.He served in the United States Army and worked at Wal-Mart retail store as a Customer Service Manager for 12 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and enjoyed being outdoors. He also enjoyed taking care of his animals and taking naps outside on rainy days.A Catholic, and a member of Our Lady of Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas.He is preceded in death by his father: Filiberto Esquibel, grandson: Gabriel Lucero and an infant son.He is survived by his loving wife: Pauline Esquibel of the family home; his children: Paul Crespin, Felicita Esquibel, David Esquibel Jr., (Crystal Salas), Brenda Esquibel (Jalen Lucero), Genevieve Gutierrez (Louie Padilla) all of Las Vegas, Michelle Crespin (Jeff Martinez) of El Paso, Texas, Melissa Espino (Jesse) of Rio Rancho; mother: Annie Esquibel of Las Vegas, N.M.; sisters: Jennie Mae Tapia (Gene) of Albuquerque, Ramona Urioste (Andrew) of Las Vegas, Phyllis Trujillo (Arnold) of Ledoux, and Jenine Quintana (Vince) of Las Vegas; brothers: Roger Esquibel (Juanita) of Las Vegas, Phil Esquibel (Nancy) of Las Vegas, Joseph Esquibel (Vicky) of Guymon, Okla., Ralph Esquibel (Susan Vigil) of Las Vegas; granddaughters: Angelica Esquibel, Kayla Esquibel, Tiffany Esquibel, Gabrielle Lucero, Krislyn Padilla, Luralyn Padilla all of Las Vegas, Moriah Espino of Rio Rancho, NM; and Jasmin Martinez of El Paso; grandsons: Jesus and Julian Espino both of Rio Rancho, Ivan Martinez of El Paso, Texas; great-granddaughter: Alariyah Gonzales of Las Vegas; father and mother-in-law: Fermin Crespin (Felicita) of San Geronimo; brothers-in-law: Andrew Crespin (Mary) and Edward Crespin both of Las Vegas; sister-in-law: Martha Crespin of San Geronimo; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.Rosary services were scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant. Interment will follow at Los Vigiles Cemetery in Los Vigiles, with the following serving as casket bearers: Jonathon Tapia, Gilbert Quintana, Nathan Trujillo, Reyes Rubio, Joey Esquibel, and Ryan Rubio.
