WADE David G. Wade, 90, of St. Augustine, Florida passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016. Mr. Wade was born on December 21, 1925 in Old Town, Florida to the late Hector McNiell and Gladys (Barnett) Wade. He was a lifelong resident of Northeast Florida and a member of the Swiss Cove Christian Church. Mr. Wade proudly served his country he loved so much in the United States Navy during WWII. He loved his family and the Florida Gators. Mr. Wade retired from the Florida Times Union Newspaper and was a simple man. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Wade is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis Kitty Wade; daughters, Ann Morris (Kendall) and Velisha Sam Sleap; sisters, Jean and Gladys Wade; 5 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10:00am at Orangedale Cemetery with Minister Jim Jacobs officiating.
