Jagodzinsky, David J.David J. Jagodzinsky age 71, of 4017 Conroe St. Manitowoc, died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. David was born on May 10, 1943 in Manitowoc, son of the late Henry and Laverne (Hawkins) Jagodzinsky. He grew up in Manitowoc and was a 1962 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. David served his country in the United States Army from June 25, 1962 until his honorable discharge on June 18, 1968. On February 17, 1973 David was married to the former Darlene Wiegand at First Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. He worked for 35 years as an Operating Engineer for various construction companies as a member of Local #139, retiring in August of 2003 from Vinton Construction Company. David enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and boating, camping, working on his trucks, traveling and going to the casino. Survivors include his wife: Darlene P. Jagodzinsky, Manitowoc; his three children: Christine D. (Randy) Kieffer, Hershey, PA; Dawn M. (Dave) Borgwardt, Colorado Springs, CO; Shane C. (Jill) Jagodzinsky, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Nathan (Heather) Kieffer, Sheboygan; Megan Kieffer, Manitowoc and her fiancé Keith Luckow; Tyler Katz, Manitowoc; one great grandson, Dean Kieffer, Sheboygan; his twin brother: Dennis Jagodzinsky, Minong; one brother-in-law: Tom Walker, Aurora, IL; one sister-in-law: Caroline Jagodzinsky, Delta, CO; step-mother: Lydia Jagodzinsky, Manitowoc; three step sisters: Debbie, Sandy and Gail; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Laverne Jagodzinsky; one sister: Sherrill Walker; and one brother: LeRoy Jagodzinsky. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State St. Manitowoc. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date at the Knollwood Memorial Park.
