David Joseph Frei, a 48 year resident of Yuma AZ, died Sunday July 3 2011 at the age of 75 after a period of declining health. He was born on June 15, 1936 in Sacramento, CA. He joined the United States Marine Corp after High School, and was honorably discharged after a successful 10 year career where he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his military career, he went on to work for Mercury Refueling at MCAS Yuma for over 30 years and retired as Vice President in charge of contract negotiations. He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Downey, Debra Martinez, Catherine Finney, Donnie Frei, Cindy Steinbart; his sister Linda Gravert and nine grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for David Frei: Rosary will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday July15, 201, with viewing to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park 1415 S. First Ave. Mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday July16, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church, 505 S Ave B Yuma, AZ. Burial to follow the mass at Desert Lawn Memorial Park 1415 S. First Ave, Yuma AZ.
