David M. Lehotay 69, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on April 3, 2017. He was born on July 28, 1947 the son of the late Andrew & Helen Lehotay. David proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a man of great faith and was a former member of Sacred Heart of Jesus and currently St. Anthony's/ All Saints. David retired from Nationwide Insurance Company after 25 years of service. He was a softball umpire for over 30 years in Navarre. David was a past member of the Zoning Board of Navarre and Fairless Academic Booster Club. David was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol. He had many achievements but his greatest was his love for his family and sharing time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew Lehotay. David is survived by his loving family, his wife of 42 years, Frances E. Lehotay; son Dennis (Angelia) Powell; daughters Melissa (Eric) Schumacher and Debbie (Don) Swinehart; grandchildren Aurijuana, Shaun, Michelle, Jason, Kayley, Brooke, Allison, Brianna, Aubrey and Austin; three great-grandchildren; brothers Jim (Connie) Lehotay and Edward (Susan) Lehotay; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and at 4:45 p.m. S.C.S will recite the rosary at the Reed Funeral Home (CANTON CHAPEL). A Mass of Celebration will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's/ All Saints Catholic Church (1530 11th St SE Canton).
