David ""Ricky"" Maes, 54, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015.He was born on Dec. 18, 1960, to Gabriel David Maes and Ernes-tina D. Maes in Pueblo, Colo.He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed. His most-enjoyed hobbies were hunting, fishing and most of all dancing. He was known for his many land-scaping talents. One of his greatest passions was perfecting his '78 T-bird, which won multiple trophies at numerous car shows. He attended many car shows with the True Lows Car Club, which he was a member of.He was a Catholic and a member of the St. Gertrude's Church in Mora.He is preceded in death by his father, Gabriel David Maes; grandson, Jeremiah Maes; brother and sisters, Joseph ""Tinker"" Maes, Jenny Maes and Yvonne Maes; grandfather, Andres Maes; grandmother, Lucianita Maes; uncle, Andres Maes Jr.; and aunt, Maryann Lapore.He is survived by his mom, Ernestina Maes and stepdad, Dan Cordova; brothers, Vincent Maes and Cathy, Carlos Maes and Patricia and Alfred Maes and Louisa; sister, Edith Ryals; sons, David Maes and Jessica, Joseph Maes and Amber, and Jesse Maes and Erica; daughters, Laurissa Maes, Nikkita Montoya, and Shantelle Montoya; son, Anthony Fresquez; daughters, Jessica Lujan and Julie Maestas; 17 grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Gertrude Church in Mora with Father Paul Grala, SOLT as celebrant. Interment will follow at Nuestra Señora de El Carmel Cemetery in El Carmel, with the following serving as casket bearers: David Maes, Joseph Maes, Jesse Maes, Alfred Maes, Angel Maes, Dillon Ryals, Timothy Maes and Jacob Maes.
