David Paul Richardson, 51, of Weatherford, Texas, finished his battle with cancer in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on April 26, 2020.
David was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Sammie and Jessie Richardson. He married the love of his life, Carla, at the age of 17 in 1987 and raised two daughters. He was a highly regarded auto body technician for most of his life. He was a hard worker and always provided for his family. David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to go hunting and bowling whenever he had the time. He appreciated good food. He had several unique hobbies over the years. David never hesitated to help relatives and friends when in need. He was a believer and had unshakable trust in God's plan for him.
David is survived by his wife Carla of 32 years, daughters Alexis Richardson (and Raymond) and Jessica (and Mason) Owen, sisters Ronda (and Willie) Gwin and Sheila (and Scott) Ratliff, father Jessie (and Phyllis) Richardson and grandson John Dalton Owen and many dear friends and extended family. David was a loving father, husband, grandfather, son, brother and friend to everyone.
A special thank you to radiologist Dr. Nguyen, oncologist Dr. Milam, and Baylor Scott and White Hospital for their life extending treatment and nurse navigator Kristi Hiser for her support during his cancer journey and April at Holy Savior Hospice for her loving care at the end. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards the family and friends that helped with financial donations, transportation to appointments, prayers, general care and other support.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
