Our loving Husband, Dad, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Friend and Pappy, David Wayne John, age 59 of Sandy, Utah went home to be with Jesus suddenly on September 24, 2016 after suffering a stroke. David was born on February 17, 1957 to Barbara Ann John and Edward William John in Kearney, NE.David was no ordinary man. He was extraordinary! He dedicated his life to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and lived with anticipation of his eternal home, Heaven. David lived and loved others with the love of Jesus and planted seeds in hearts he touched near and far all over the world. He was loving, kind, gentle, humble, adventurous and funny. He loved life and lived it to the fullest, never taking anything for granted. He counted his blessings each and everyday. David was survived by his loving wife Carol; amazing mother and father-in-laws Leo and Mary Ann Wagner; daughter An-g and son-in-law Adam Cunningham; two grandchildren, who were the light of his life Macoy and Quincy; his sister Teri (Brad) Green; brothers Bill (Cindy) John, Dan (Jacqueline) John, Joe (Kay) John; sister-in-law Janet Wagner; brother-in-law Mark Wagner; and 13 nieces and nephews. His faithful dog Squirt and cats Sister Kitten, Millie Moo, and Monkey Bean. David was preceded in death by both his parents, his mother Barbara just passed away four short weeks prior to David's passing and now we have the hope that they have been reunited in The Loving Arms of Jesus. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East. Complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Chapel, 460 Century Drive West (4350 South 460 West)In lieu of flowers, please consider a love donation to establish a Education Trust for Pappys Greatest treasures Quincy and Macoy, and help An-g start her non-profit organization "Changemakers For Christ". Or donate to Davids favorite charity: The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake online at www.rescuesaltlake.org or by mailing a check to them at P.O Box 1431 Lake City, Utah 84110. David had many gifts but his gift of music is one that will play in our hearts forever until we are reunited with him in glory. We will miss his friendship and musicality greatly, but he will be warmly remembered by many, and we are comforted to know this is not goodbye but see you soon.
