With deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved, Davis Edward Tosh, 51, of Fond du Lac, who passed away peacefully at Theda Care in Appleton, with family by his side on December 15th, 2024. He was born on May 20th, 1973, to Edward Fritz Brandt and Betty Lynn Benedict at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
He spent 33 years with his soul mate, Jean Wachholz Tosh, marrying on April 8th, 1995, at Apostolic Christian Church in Fond du lac. She was the love of his life!
Davis was a very hard worker, always providing the best he could for his family. He worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Waste Management of Fond du lac for most of his Career. He had a strong love for Harley Davidson, playing guitar, hunting, and let’s not forget watching Dr. Phil or his famous question of the day, “What’s for supper”?
Above all, Davis loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, children, and most of all his grandbabies, who he adored and lived his life for! He touched the lives of many people with his kind and compassionate soul, always providing comforting words and being the CALM for many people around him.
Davis will be deeply missed by his wife, Jean Wachholz Tosh of Fond du Lac, and their 5 children: Nick (Tami) Tosh, Carissa (Zach) Dittel, Yolanda (Joe) Hannes, Misty (Matt) Baumgartner, and Roberta Tosh (Fiancé Adrian) all of Fond du lac. 16 grandbabies with two on the way; DJ, Layne, Jahred Tosh, Ema and Leo Dittel, Zachary and Brett Theisen, Avery and Hunter Hannes, Hayden Keys, Johnthan Peebles, Tattum Abitz, Adyson, Easton, Teagan, Cashton Tosh; and two new grandbabies on the way, baby boy Maverick Tosh who will be entering the family at the end of December and baby Dittel at the end of March. In-Laws David (Linda) Wachholz of North Fond du lac, Uncle Jerry Armfield (Janet Kent), Stepmother Janet Brandt of Fond du Lac, Brother Mark Brandt of Appleton, Niece and Nephew Katlin and Chris Wachholz, God Children Kayla and Jacob Michaud, Special extended family, Jennifer Kimpel, Brennan and Kyleigh Jolin, Carey Michaud, Tim Traver, all his furry companions, and many other family and friends that held a place in his heart.
Davis was proceeded in death by his Daughter Alexis Mae Tosh and Son Glenn Dale Tosh, Grandbabies, Ian Edward Dittel and Ashely Jean, Parents Edward Fritz Brandt and Betty Lynn Benedict, Mother-In-Law Catherine Louise Pollom, Brother-in-law and partner in crime John August Wachholz, Lifelong friend Travis Augustine, Special Auntie Diane, and many other loved ones to follow.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The Family would like to send a special thanks to all the staff at Theda Care in Appleton, especially Amanda, Kim, and Stacy who provided Davis with the most compassionate, comfort and care in his final moments in life.
